In the Big Kid’s Room with House of Hire Designs

Lauren Hire, of House of Hire Designs, is graciously letting us into her home today to tour this amazing solar system boy’s room she designed for her son. Every detail is just perfect—each time I look at the pictures I find something new that I love. There are plenty of big boy room ideas here if you are looking for inspiration for your own space. We love Lauren’s philosophy on how to make sure you are designing for your child and not for yourself. She has some great tips. We’ll let her take it from here. Thanks, Lauren! (more…)

Back To School is as Easy as 1-2-3 with Kudo Banz

With back-to-school time upon us, the grind of getting our children ready and out the door returns. From eating their breakfast to putting on their shoes—sometimes it seems like everything is a struggle. Kudo Banz is here to help. The fun accessory pairs with an app to allow for even more encouragement. (more…)

Turn Those Papers into a “Wall of Fame” Display

Our fabulous contributor Emily, of Entertaining with Emily, isn’t the only mom out there to loathe that mountain of artwork and papers that comes home with the kids every week. Of course, as parents we want to proudly display all their efforts and successes, but isn’t there a way to do it so it doesn’t look like a tornado hit the fridge? Why yes, there is! (more…)

It’s back to school time! No matter the age of your child, as summertime dwindles away, the fall beckons a more scheduled life. We get back into old routines, create new ones and try desperately to get the kiddos to follow along! Let’s get prepared for those little lull times of boredom by creating a dedicated station for solo play, crafts and snacks. Because seriously, all they care about is the snacks. (more…)

Up Your #BTS Game with KidsShoes.com

I hate to break it to you, but back-to-school season is here. Oh, cringe! How could it be? Didn’t summer just begin? Don’t stress just yet—lazy mornings, afternoon swims and neighborhood BBQs don’t have to end for a couple more weeks for most of us, BUT it is time to start gearing up (literally) for school to be back in session. Celebrity Design Reveal: Tamera Mowry’s Big Boy Room

Navy and Gray Big Boy Room

As one half of one of the most famous sets of twins to grace a sitcom in the 90s (where are our fellow Sister, Sister lovers?), Tamera Mowry knows a thing or two about siblings. And now that she has little ones of her own, she’s teaching them how to share and share alike, starting with the Jack + Jill style layout of their bedrooms.

This mama of two reached out to Oilo Studio for help with this unique design project, and we’re so excited to show you four-year-old Aden’s classic big boy room. It features lots of grow-with-me details and fun design elements that this lucky preschooler is sure to love. Oh, and don’t forget to check out little sister Ariah’s beautiful space over on Project Nursery!
